Mickey Lyxx is a Long Island, New York-based guitarist, songwriter, and performer known for his melodic approach, technical playing, and passion for history-inspired heavy music. Having performed in over 25 countries, Lyxx has appeared at major festivals including Wacken Open Air, Rock Fest Wisconsin, and Alcatraz Metal Festival, while sharing stages with artists such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Doro Pesch, Dave Ellefson, and Jeff Young. His work has earned coverage from outlets including Guitar World, Rock Hard Germany, Metal Hammer Spain, Metal Talk, Rock Overdose, Sound Guardian, Relics Magazine, and Metal Sludge. Through his solo project, Mickey Lyxx channels his love of history and traditional power metal into what he describes as “Metal & History.” Featuring powerhouse vocalist Jill Gioia, drummer Steve MacQueen, and a rotating cast of collaborators, the project blends soaring melodies, neoclassical guitar work, and lyrical themes inspired by pivotal moments in world history. Recent releases including Gates of Buda, Persepolis, Washington’s Spies, and Caporetto serve as a preview of a growing catalog, with a full-length album currently en route.
